Basic Himalayan Bath Salt Recipe

Creating your own Himalayan Bath Salt Recipe is quite simple and won’t take a lot of time out of your day. Surprisingly, bath salts are relatively inexpensive to make and require no harsh ingredients.
In fact, the main ingredients in Himalayan Bath Salt Recipe are fragrance oil, food coloring and Himalayan Salt. These can be all found at a local supermarket and are safe to use. Some bath products, which are found in the market place, may contain harsh ingredients that could irritate the skin. However, by choosing bath salts carefully or making them yourself, you will have the peace of mind in knowing that your bath salts are perfectly safe to use.
Basic Himalayan Bath Salt Recipe
  • 2 cups of Himalayan Pink Coarse or Extra Coarse salt
  • 10-20 drops of fragrance oil
  • 10 drops food coloring
How to do?
  1. Place the salt in a large bowl and mix well. Scoop out about ½ cup into a small bowl. Add the fragrance oil and food coloring to the salt in the small bowl and mix well.
  2. Add the blended mixture to the large bowl a little at a time until you are pleased with the color strength. Pour your salt in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid. Shake everyday for one week before packaging.

To use:
Draw a warm bath and add ¼ cup of the fragrant salt to the running water. Hop in and relax, inhaling deeply to experience the soothing qualities of aromatherapy.
